Data Engineer

You will play a key role in developing a secure environment where each participant stores their own data locally via a Data Vault, but can still contribute to training collaborative machine learning models.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines and data pipeline orchestration to process data efficiently and securely.
- Complete and elaborate the project’s architecture where necessary. This means you will have to make your own choices about the design and implementation of the project.
- Getting in touch with machine learning (Federated Learning) tools.
- Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to build a user-friendly, secure and scalable solution.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, computer science, data science, engineering or other related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a data engineer or other related role
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD
- Strong experience with SQL
- Strong experience with Python
- Experience with setting up data pipelines, data pipeline orchestration and containerisation.
- Experience calculating data quality and knowledge of key quality metrics
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g. dbt), data modelling
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and manage complex systems.
- Interest in continuous expansion of own knowledge area.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team as well as individually.
- Communicative in English, both written and spoken.
