IT Business & Functional Analyst - Junior

As an IT Business & Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging business needs with technical solutions. Your tasks will include:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Identify and define business requirements for both internal and external projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
- Communicate changes with the development team, and assist them with their questions.
- System Design & Documentation
- Develop functional & technical specifications and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Maintain and update the Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) for efficient database management.
- Safeguarding the IT & software architecture of the organization.
- Quality Assurance & Process Optimization
- Conduct QA testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Analyze and improve existing business processes to enhance efficiency & allow further automation.
- Define business processes within a project context, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Communication & Training
- Provide training and support to internal and external stakeholders regarding system functionalities.
- Act as a liaison between business units and the IT team to ensure seamless project execution.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Informatics, or equivalent
- You have a first work experience
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Ability to write clear and structured business and functional specifications
- Knowledge of UML & BPMN to document requirements, processes & changes
- Strong understanding of ERD modeling and SQL databases
- Knowledge of APIs and how they function
- Knowledge of IT security by design
- Experience with Linux, Java, Payload CMS, Metabase or AI is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on attitude with problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written).
